BLEPHAROPLASTY (EYELID SURGERY)

Your eyelids not only protect your eyes but also serve to frame them. If you have droopy eyelids, you can look tired even when you are well-rested. Eyelid surgery removes excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids to help you look alert and refreshed. Board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Lars Enevoldsen of Skinfinite Solutions Medical Spa and Laser Center, offers blepharoplasty for men and women in Modesto, Stockton and surrounding areas of California.

What is Eyelid Surgery?

Eyelid surgery is a cosmetic procedure that lifts the eyelids so they do not block the eyes. In addition to looking better, some patients find that their eyes do not tire as easily. Others find that they have improved field of vision because the eyelids are not blocking eyesight.

You may be a good candidate for blepharoplasty if you:

  • Have upper eyelids that sag over the upper portion of the eyes

  • Find that you strain to keep your eyelids open to watch television or read

  • Have lower eyelids that sag down and expose the soft pink tissue

  • Experience frequent eye infections caused by the drooping of the lower eyelids

  • Feel that your eyelids cause you to look older

Benefits of Blepharoplasty

Men and women of all ages in Modesto can benefit from eyelid lift plastic surgery. Eyelid surgery creates a more alert, open look to the eyes, reducing bags below the eyes and/or loose skin above the eyes. An eyelid lift can help you look younger, reducing puffiness and baggy skin around the eyes for a more youthful look.

Many patients in Modesto choose eyelid surgery to improve their vision, as excess skin around the eyes can actually impair vision.

How does Eyelid Surgery work?

Drooping eyelids are caused by excess fat and lax skin. By removing these tissues from the eyelids, Dr. Enevoldsen is able to give your eyes a refreshed appearance.

What to expect from Blepharoplasty?

You may need upper and/or lower eyelid surgery. For upper eyelid surgery, the incision is made in the natural crease of the upper lid. Lower eyelid surgery requires an incision along the lower lash line. After making the incision, Dr. Enevoldsen removes small amounts of delicate skin and fat.
